I know I’m a day late posting this but it’s my Friday submission. To keep us engaged at work the company hired The Big Green Pizza Truck to start the holiday weekend celebrations early.

The truck comes to you sets up and fires up the brick oven and just makes pizzas of all types.

I missed another day yesterday. I didn’t take any pictures even. So here are 2 pics of the pool and me after being in it to replace the skimmer.

Today was teeth cleaning day. The dentist always insists on telling me how beautiful my teeth are.

The first pic is from my lunch time walk. Ribbitt. The second was the cookies I had for dessert. Yes they look like boobies with nipples.

So I decided to be adventurous again and make Ice Cream Sandwiches for Memorial Day Meat-a-Palooza. This is the Maple Bourbon Ice cream with candied Bacon churning now.

We had our second to last outdoor marching rehearsal for drum corps tonight. We were interrupted by the parking lot traffic jam when the local high school concert let out.

Bowling Week #16 2013 – Finale

So year 6 of the Bowling League has come to an end. It’s bittersweet really. I enjoy seeing everyone and bowling but now it’s summer so having Sunday nights free mean afternoon’s in the pool.

Game #1 – 171 (this is weird as we were on the same lanes last week and I bowled the same score)

Game #2 – 160

Game #3 – 173

My average started at 137 at the beginning of the season and I end it with a 156 the 2nd highest average for the league. 2 of my Teammates hold the 1st and 3rd highest averages.

I finished the season holding the Highest Individual Scratch (227) and Series (612) Games, as well as the Highest Handicap Scratch (279) and Series (768) Game. As a team we finished the season holding the Highest Team Scratch (704) and Series (1963), and the Highest Team Handicap Series (2602)

Week 16 is referred to as a Position round where the teams play in order of which they are ranked. First place plays Second, Third plays Fourth, and on down the line. As we were in First place going into the night, by a lead of 2 points from the 2nd place team, we were excited.

This week we played Team  Split Happens, who  happen to be the League founders and officers. They were formidable opponents and won the first game. We rallied and were determined to win at least 1 (which was all we would have needed) of the remaining 3 points as that would guarantee that we would finish the season in First place. We ended up winning the 2nd and 3rd Game to capture 3 points and end the season in first with 42 points. Unfortunately this meant our friends ended the season in 3rd place.

We had a great season with lot’s of ups and downs and some of my best games ever. Now to relax and maybe get s0me practice in before we begin again in January.
