And away we go! This week was just what we needed as a team.
Game #1 – 178
Game #2 – 162
Game #3 – 149
My starting average going into the night was a 153, and that hasn’t changed
This week we played Team Here 4 Beer which is very telling because it seemed the more they drank (3 pitchers) the worse they bowled.
The Hubby on the other hand had a most excellent night bowling a 181 in his last game giving him the High Handicap Series score!
We took all 4 points for the week pushing us into 4th place. But this is where it gets interesting, we are technically tied for 2nd place with 3 other teams (we all have 9) but due to Pin Count we are in 4th by a very thin Margin. 2nd place has 9,835 Pins, 3rd has 9,763, we have 9,753 and 5th has 9,635 so only 200 pins difference within us.
Next week we play Team Pinned Down who happens to be in 2nd place.
Well week three wasn’t so bad
Game #1 – 136
Game #2 – 168
Game #3 – 133
My starting average going into the night was a 153, my average is now 150
This week we played Team Scared Straights, these boys are pretty good bowlers and sadly weren’t distracted enough by the cupcakes
We took 1 point for the week pushing us into 8th place.
This week we play Team Here 4 Beer.
What a great night!
Game #1 – 128
Game #2 – 194
Game #3 – 144
Better than last weeks final game I am being to be being somewhat more consistent, though I would prefer more games like game 2.
My starting average going into the night was a 151, my average is now 153 (which makes me tied for the 2nd highest average of Men in the league. Well first if you don’t count the guy who is practically a professional)
This week we played Team 69er’s, a group of Straight women and their Guy friend (thats what I am calling it anyway).
We took 3 points for the week pushing us into 6th place.
Next week we play Team Scared Straights.
On a side note now that the oven is fixed I will be distracting the straight boys with cupcakes next week.
It’s that time again. Year 9 of the Bowling league has begun.
Game #1 – 156
Game #2 – 194
Game #3 – 105
My starting average going into the night was a 152 carried over from last year, after the first night I believe it will be unchanged.
This week we played Team Fruits and Nuts, which honestly is comprised of good friends of ours so we enjoyed playing them the first night.
We took 1 points for the week putting us in 8th place to start the season.
I am still on the Board for the league this year as are the other 2 members as well as the officers remaining unchanged. I have also volunteered to run the league Facebook Page.
My goal for the year is to get as many over 200 games as I can and really work to improve my game.
Well we have a court date for The Kid’s adoption, this will all be over on Weds Feb 3rd.
