We finally got our marching orders from the office manager on Friday about the pending move of associates around the office. In total over the course of this week 35 people will relocate, some of us twice.
I started in cube 1001 when we moved in here back in 2008. I was relocated to cube 801, then temporarily moved to cube 1007 during the “bucket in the ceiling” incident. 6 months later I moved back to 801. Monday I found out that I would be moving to Cube 506 with a layover in cube 601. I am actually happy with my new location. Although I will be facing the opposite way I am used to facing, there is no one next to me in the shared cube. I do have 2 associates to the right of me over the glass partition. Once the new cube is set up and I am fully Moved in I will have to post some pics. My Biggest dilemma will be where to hang the Disco Ball.
Saturday we had the pleasure of attending the wedding reception of our good friends Sam and Josh. The above photo was the view we had from the Top of the Roc for the night. It was an honor to get the celebrate their Love for each other. Sam and Josh met on WOW (World of Warcraft), Sam is from Peru and Josh is from St Louis.
Naturally there was fun involved and I loved the centerpieces so much I needed to pose with the flowers.
Sunday was the Resurrection of the Jon Hamm Brunch gathering. We all haven’t gotten together as a group since July so we were WAAAY overdue. Instead of getting together at one of our houses like we normally do we decided to check out the brunch offerings of one of our Favorite lunch and dinner joints I have mentioned many time The White Horse.
The waiter (also named John) got a good laugh at our guest of honor.
Not sure they knew who we were or not but we had a fabulous table in the corner.
I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and French Onion Soup. It was as I knew it would be DELICIOUS!
Sunday night The Hubby and I packed up the big pot of Kale and Chorizo soup we made and made our way over to the weekly gathering of gays for Downton Abbey night. We are watching season 3 again in preparation for Season 4 to begin in January. Mike who hosts us all had gone out shopping earlier in the day and bought some fabulous new wine charms. Naturally I had to take the one that said The Countess in honor of Dame Maggie Smith, the Dowager Countess.
It’s Wednesday which means it’s Drum Corps night, and tonight we are having the 2nd annual (ok 2nd ever) Bake Off. I whipped up some Peanut Butter Blondies to bring, I made a couple extra for The Hubby and I to try them as last nights dessert and they were yummy.
Only 8 more wake ups until we head off to The Finger Lakes for the Deck The Halls wine tour weekend. We are very excited to be going. It’s going to be a weekend chock full of fun stuff. We leave Thursday morning with a stop in Owego at a great local mexican restaurant for lunch. After that we head to the Corning Museum of Glass to do some Glass Blowing of a Pumpkin and an Ornament.
After we check into the hotel and change we need to grab dinner and head a few towns over from where we are staying and grab dinner and then we get to see our friend Michael who is starring as one of the Dads in the National Tour of Mamma Mia! We hope to be able to grab a drink or two with him afterwards. Friday is dinner with our friend who lives up in that area at a local wineries German restaurant for Buffet Night! Friday through Sunday is Winery hopping, and then we head home Monday.
Then it’s Thanksgiving….where has the year gone, I hate to say it we already got the first dusting of the S word.
Cheers!
