Spent 3 hours this afternoon, cooking, and cooking, and cooking, and cooking.

3 Trays of Ziti, 3 Trays of Chicken Marsala, 2 Trays of Wild Rice Pilaf, and 4 Pork Roasts!.

This better be the best damn wedding Dinner My brother and his bride have ever eaten!

Sigh……

>This whirlwind I will call a weekend FINALLY begins.

Friday – work then home to the Rehearsal Dinner for my youngest brothers nuptials on sunday. God love my family they took the poor guy out last night and tsk he wont remember a thing. Good thing Dad was there to drive his ass home.

Saturday – haircuts, groceries at some point, and helping my mother cook for this shindig we are calling a wedding.

Sunday – The wedding. I can’t wait for this day to be over. So instead of worrying about his wedding, I can then worry about MINE!

Same-Sex Marriages to Begin in Connecticut Today

Same-sex couples in Connecticut expect to begin marrying today after a court hearing which begins in about an hour.

Conn_2“Superior Court Judge Jonathan Silbert has scheduled a hearing at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in New Haven to enter the final judgment in the case that allows same-sex marriages in Connecticut. Once the hearing ends, couples can pick up marriage license forms at town and city clerk’s offices. It’s unclear how many couples will get married. The state public health department says 2,032 civil union licenses were issued in Connecticut between October 2005 and July 2008. The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled Oct. 10 that same-sex couples have the right to wed rather than accept a civil union law. Only Connecticut and Massachusetts have legalized gay marriage. The unions were legal in California until voters narrowly passed a ban last week. At least three lawsuits ask that state’s Supreme Court to overturn the vote.”

In last week’s election, voters rejected a proposed Constitutional Convention that might have amended the state’s constitution to banish marriage equality.

So last night a local comedy club had a great show with 4 (ok 3 great comics 1 who could have stayed home with his guitar). The first 2 guys were awesome and both named Matt. The second Matt decided it would be fun to lift his shirt a few hundred times and show off his chest (skinny as a rail but hairy YUM).

The Headliner was none other than Hal Sparks from Queer as Folk and Talk Soup and such.

But who should walk out on to the stage but this Hal

Now Dont get me wrong he was still hot (though im not one for long hair) and the Fact that I was an arms Length away from him was pretty cool too.

I even got to Shake his hand and say Great Show to him on the way out. My one and only Brush with celebrity at our local italian restaurant and comedy showcase. Was a Great Night.
